Ladies, it’s about time we talk about a very sensible and important beauty related subject, the cuticles. We all love a pretty and taken care of manicure, but do we all care for our nails and cuticles the way we should do it? Even more so, do you know chance is, you are actually harming yourself while taking care of them?
First things first, the cuticle is there on our hands for a reason. Its sole purpose on this earth was to protect our hands and fingers from infections. The nail area is often exposed to some of the nastiest germs on earth, so upon a closer look, the cuticle has a very important role, that of protection.
The cuticle stops dirt, germs and bacteria from infecting your finger and nail. It has the role of a seal for the finger.
Yes, you may try and argue their existence by saying that nails look so much prettier and well-kept without the cuticle, but, fact is, they are necessary for our health.
Still, there are a few ways to treat them so as to minimize their appearance and not to hurt your finger.
Prepare a mixture consisting of a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of almond oil. Apply the mixture to your nails and fingers, it will leave your skin smooth and silky, and leave overnight.
Put on a pair of gloves to make sure your hands are warm and to prevent the mixture from getting to your bed linens or on yourself.
Repeat the procedure a few nights per week and be ready to be amazed by the results: almost invisible cuticles!
This trick will not prevent your cuticles from growing, but it will definitely minimize their appearance making your hands and fingers look pretty and most importantly, healthy!
