Old habits die hard? Are you thinking about quitting being a vegetarian and returning to eating meat again?It is both a challenging and tough action at the same time. Bodies react differently to this decision, so listen to your body. Being a vegetarian is a choice we make as adults, after a period of time in which our bodies have been taught to eat meat and rely on its proteins and benefits. Starting to eat meat again can be life changing if you are careful enough to notice the changes.
- Your body communicates with you. It can send you signals that indicate it is craving a certain product. When you feel the urge to have a meal that includes meat, be careful to choose lean meat, so as not to shock and pressure your stomach.
- Your taste buds are changing, as well as your cravings. Don’t be surprised if re-including meat in your menu will make you crave for new unexpected dishes.
- You will no longer feel hungry after a meal. Many vegans claim they are leaving the table still hungry. Meat contains lots of proteins that pro-long the feeling of being full and happy.
- Your food influences your hormones. Some of the people are affected by food at a hormonal level and need proteins to have certain hormonal balance in their body.
- You don’t need to include all types of meat. There is plenty of meat to choose from. It is highly advisable to take it step by step and start eating lean and white meat. It is all up to you.
- Your needs are your needs. Don’t listen to anyone that is trying to teach you how to take care of your body and its needs. They are your own matter!
- It’s not the end of the world. Choosing to start eating meat again is a matter of your own personal choice and nobody in the world has the right to argue that.
- Pay attention to your body and remember to listen to it!
