Use this simple trick to relieve menstrual pain

Menstrual pain is the nightmare of any woman and unfortunately very few are those who don’t face this problem. Unpleasant pain in the lower abdomen is also known as dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhoea may be primary or secondary.

In the first case, it’s manifested by the presence of belly and back pain for 1-2 days before menstruation and is a normal situation. Secondary dysmenorrhea is a more serious condition and requires the attention of a specialist.

Studies show that in at least 15% of cases menstrual pains are extreme and don’t pass without anti-inflammatory drugs. Fortunately, however, there is also an extremely effective natural solution that diminishes the intensity of these pains and helps you feel much better during menstruation.

A new study recently published in the Scholars Research Library suggests that regular consumption of extra virgin olive oil has a positive effect on menstrual pain. Olive oil acts on primary dysmenorrhea better than ibuprofen capsules.

This study was conducted on a sample of 60 women aged between 17 and 30 who were suffering from primary dysmenorrhea. They were divided into two groups. Those in the first group used 5 tablespoons of olive oil a day for 2 months. Those in the second group took 400 mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day during the first few days of menstruation. The outcome? The women in the first group had much less pain, especially in the second month. Researchers put the results on the basis of high levels of polyphenols in olive oil.
